Catching up

Whoops, I guess I should be posting here too when I'm sharing updates. Better late than never, right? I've posted a whole bunch of updates to the main site, please give them a look! But here's a quick rundown.

Closing Out 2020 - A summary of everything I was up to in 2020. Basically I got a full time software engineering job that didn't leave much time or energy to work on Unto the Breach, so very little progress was made for most of the year. Plus I was working on a production-grade copy of a board game I've been developing in the same setting. But I did make a fair bit of fresh progress towards the end of the year!

Politics - Jorandek - A new lore article looking at the "Heart of the World", the city of Jorandek. This is where both the board game and the tie-in novella take place.

Welcome 2021 - The first of (hopefully) many articles for 2021. Taking a more detailed look at fixes/improvements made to the random loot system as well as introducing the skill learning system that's part of the level-less progression.

More Interface Improvements! - A whole bunch of UI improvements made to various parts of the menu scene.

Gameplay - Character Stats - The first of a series of articles explaining various gameplay mechanics. This one looks at the primary and secondary stats of each character and what they all mean. Yay number-crunching!

Visceral Battle and Character Development - Making a bunch of improvements to the battle system, as well as sharing some details on character quests (side quests specifically oriented around your companions).

More Battle Tweaks! - Even more battle system improvements! Also some under-the-hood code improvements.

Gameplay - Skill Mastery and Proficiency System - Another gameplay article, going into detail about how your skills improve with use, and how your characters get stronger with every monster killed.

Whew! That's quite a bit! I'll be sure to cross-post articles here from now on, though. Thanks for checking everything out!
